The only way to cut crime in our country is to make
punishment more severe
Crime… one of the most biggest problem in our
country. There were always bad people, but nowadays their number is increasing
badly. What should we do? There is no reason for us, innocent people to carry
just because of burglars, drug dealers, rapists,
etc.
What about death penalty? Many people feel that
harder sentences should be brought back to our country like it is in the USA.
There are some arguments for death penalty. If somebody kills another man, than
there is not so much chance that this criminal will change. In order to avoid
these examples death penalty would be a “good” idea. Another point is that the
victim will be afraid of the criminal and what if this criminal gets out of
jail and finds his old victim?! Every victim would feel safely if he or she
would know that the criminal won’t find him/her again.
On another hand, why should we take a life if God gave
it? Maybe this people will change in the future time. Other point is that maybe
the man is innocent, maybe the judge made some mistakes in adjudication.
In my opinion, death penalty is a good way to block
murdering. But of course there is a small chance of changing or being innocent.
I think, that if somebody takes a life, his life should be also taken.
I totally agree with you in bringing back harder sentences, beacuse Serbia goes on a totally wrong way, and doesn't realize that makes enormous mistakes. I don't think murderers change, when somebody commits a murder, it means he/she doesn't really thinks about what she/she is doing. But it's only my opinion.

TörlésI'm not sure about death penalty is a good way of getting people to the right way. In addition, what would the killer feel, when he has to murder a criminal? That must be awful...
VálaszTörlésI agree with Saci! and I must say that I am also against death penalty. Are you sure that this non human punishment would be the best solution to cut donwn crime?
VálaszTörlésIn my opinion everybody can change if he or she wants a better life, that is why everybody needs a last chance. :)
I totally agree with the part "I think, that if somebody takes a life, his life should be also taken. " Although the bad side of this is when the criminal is wrongly accused and "murdered" by the state.
