A Film review

Leap Year

This film was directed by Anand Tucker and written by Deborah Kaplan and Harry Elfont,and this is one of my favourite movies about love and truth.

This film is about a woman who wants her boyfriend to marry her, but her boyfriend doesn't tends to do it, and she decides that she will do it instead of him. When her boyfriend travels to Dublin she starts off to, to marry him on leap year. This is an Irish tradition, that on Leap year women are able to marry their man without to be shamed. Her first blockage was a big storm, and she couldn't catch her plain to Dublin. She has than a voyage,but the ship couldn't go to Dublin and she had to get off  in Dingle Peninsula,where she met an innkeeper, who helped her to go to Dublin. Of course the film ended happy, she left her boyfriend and went back to marry Declan the innkeeper.

When I first saw the film, I really loved the main character, Anna. After I was watching the film many times, and I liked her more and more. She is a likable and pretty woman, with a good charisma. She was a bit hysterical sometimes but at all she made a very good impression. Declan was also sympathetic for me because of his peckish humor.

I really liked the places where it is played. They are lovely and pleasent,and I also like so much the Renault in the movie,because we have the same good old car.

To sum up, I enjoyed watching this film, and I'm sure that I will watch it a few times,and I recommend it for everyone who loves love-stories with humor and adventure.

Spending the holiday with or without our parents

   When children are getting older and older they start to think about wheter will they spend their holiday with their family or with friends.This is a big question in a teenager's life..

   On one hand you don't have to spare money,because everything is paid by the parents. You don't have to cook yourself, to think about yours things,etc. You are safe with them,and they care about you, trying to give you everything. Of course if you are good,they take you to places where you'd like to go. Everything is almost given when you are with them.

   On the other hand of course we are in that period when mom and dad are irritating,and we don't want to be with them. We feel like a little children, who can't care of herself. And how could we go on parties with our parents. It would be such a funny and weird situation. And sometimes on the beach we feel like everybody is watching us, because we are with our parents and not with friends like elder people.

  There are comments for and of course against spending holiday with parents, bt we must always think on that our parents love us very much,and they would like for us the best.

Lisa Gheradini Giocondo, who was about 25 when she posed for the painting. She was the daughter and wife of wealthy men and it is believed her husband paid Leonardo for her to be painted. She started as Mia Donna Lisa (my lady Lisa) and it got shorted to Monna Lisa. Due to a spelling error in English it is now known as "Mona Lisa". She is called "La Giocondo" in Italian and "La Joconde" in French.

Process of Making Bubble Gum

Step 1: The gum base ingredients are mixed together in right quantities. This generally takes place in a large machine with rotating blades.

Step 2: The ingredients when blended well are warmed till they melt.

Step 3: Sugar, softeners, color and the flavoring agents are added slowly to it and mixed thoroughly. The gum begins to thicken and appears like bread dough.

Step 4: Then, the gum has to be flattened. It is passed through huge rollers to get thin sheets of the gum.

Step 5: The flattened gum can be cut into small pieces or shaped into any desired form. The small gum pieces are sprinkled with powdered sugar and kept for cooling for about 48 hours, so that the gum sets well. Once the gum sets properly, it can remain fresh for long.

Step 6: It is then wrapped with waxed paper, and then covered with plastic wrappers. It is now ready to enter the market.

Why do chinese have slanted eyes ?

The scientific theory is that slanted eyes among Asians in the Far East is because they have more fat on their eyelids as a protection from extreme cold climates. The epicanthic fold is supposed to screen harsh sunlight in a snowy environment. Slanted eyes are not unique to the Chinese, Japanese etc. Laplanders and Eskimos have similarly slanty eyes. This theory does not hold, however in the case of the Scandinavians who have round eyes even if they live in similar climate conditions as the Chinese. The explanation offered is that the Vikings took many women on the basis of their beauty and the standard was round eyes

A Formal Letter

Dear Mr Faraday,

    I would like to tell you, that I do not really agree with your opinion. I think you do not have to affront every student. I think that is is not really clear to you, that not every student's parents are rich.
    There are so many students, who are learning, because they parents could not finish a university or even a high school. The are trying to finish school an to have a good job, to give their children, what the could not get.
    There are also students who are working beside the school, and the are paying their school for themselves. That is true, that they don't have hard job, but they are giving their best.
     I think that it is true, that the are overworked, just imagine how much they are learning, to get good marks.
     So there is many students who have to face the "real and hard world", not after they finish their school but during the school also.
     Please take into consideration these things, an you will get questionts, to all of your doubts.

My Diary

My love, I'm so sorry but I have to say that we have to break up.. I know that our love was so amazing, and you were the main thing in my life, but it's end, and it can't be the same because of your behave in the theatre.

I would like to know what did you think when you acted like that. So you have brought sadness with this in my life, and I can't forgive you this. You knew that I loved the way you acted before and you beautyness on the stage,but something has changed. You're not the same,my dear Sybile, you are not that gorgeous lady, not that marvellous persona. I'm sad and happy to, but I have to make this step. It will be better for me.

Alter-ego

My alter-ego

  Till now,I haven't thought about my alter-ego.. how should I look like,what should I do.. Who would I be,If I could be someone else. I think I'm a good,respectful person,who is always fair with other people. Of course,I have been thinking about,what would be If I wouldn't be so equitable with others. Would be people behave the same way then? 

  My alter-ego would be a very smart and beautiful woman,who is having so much money,while her bank robberies are successful. I can only imagine so much money,and so many diamonds,witch I'd buy from that money. The nice cars,the amazing houses with so big pools. What a nice dream.. I would also wanted to party all the time,and don't have obligations,like school or working. After earning so much money I would open a big animal shelter,for many kind of animals,for e.g. dogs,cats,etc. I would be the whole day with them,and I would find animal doctors, who would cure damaged animals. If it would be only possible.

   Unfortunately, I can't have this kind of alter-ego yet, and I'm not planning that I will have an alter-ego,but everything comes with the years.

Spring

Spring

    Spring is coming at 21st of March. With the start of the spring we can watch the nature reborning.

   It brings happiness because of the warmer weather contrary to winter, witch is cold,when it's snowing and freezing when it's under zero degree. With the warm weather of course we are getting able to do outside activities, for e.g. to ride a bike,to ride roller skates,to go jogging, etc. The Easter is coming with the spring as well. People are eating ham and eggs and the whole family is together. The birds are coming back from the warmer continents, everyone is falling in love at this amazing season. Flowers are everywhere, trees are blooming. For writers this is one of the most likable theme in there poems, novels, stories. Everyone's mood is getting better and better,teenagers are making grill parties, they are hanging out more times than at winter.                                            
 

       In my opinion it's a very joyful season with many amazing holidays and many experiences.                                                       

Success

Success
"One of the greatest feeling of accomplishment is doing and being successful at something you were told you could not achieve."

 So what this success is about? I don't know,or think there is a definition for it, but here is my exercise to write about it.:) At first, I think success is one of the best things, which could happen to people. People are always trying new,cool things, and waiting if the are enough good at it. When someone is good at something,and if that man is a lucky  man,than he could take up with this new thing and growing to the best people in this sport or hobby,etc. One of my biggest problems are that there are not so many facilities. I always thought about when I was little that one day I will be in something the best, in water polo,in volleyball,and like that. And there is the rub! There is no pool in my country,I don't know to play volleyball,in other countries it's not cheap to be a member in a sport club... Unsuccessful! The other thing in witch people can become more happier,is to make his or her dreams come true. Every time,when somebody gets closer to his destination,becomes more happier and happier. And at the end,when he reachs it...that felling is incredible,so incredible that it couldn't be written down. So my definition for success would be :
"Success is the most amazing kind of beatitude" :)

A discursive essay

The only way to cut crime in our country is to make punishment more severe

Crime… one of the most biggest problem in our country. There were always bad people, but nowadays their number is increasing badly. What should we do? There is no reason for us, innocent people to carry just because of  burglars, drug dealers, rapists, etc.

What about death penalty? Many people feel that harder sentences should be brought back to our country like it is in the USA. There are some arguments for death penalty. If somebody kills another man, than there is not so much chance that this criminal will change. In order to avoid these examples death penalty would be a “good” idea. Another point is that the victim will be afraid of the criminal and what if this criminal gets out of jail and finds his old victim?! Every victim would feel safely if he or she would know that the criminal won’t find him/her again.

On another hand, why should we take a life if God gave it? Maybe this people will change in the future time. Other point is that maybe the man is innocent, maybe the judge made some mistakes in adjudication.

In my opinion, death penalty is a good way to block murdering. But of course there is a small chance of changing or being innocent. I think, that if somebody takes a life, his life should be also taken.

Obesity - Coca Cola?!

One of the biggest problem with Coca-Cola...Obesity

This week the Coke company publicly revealed that Coca Cola contains so much sugar.

The most known article on the world,with one problem. After 126 years of denial about that they don't have so much damaging and addictive materials (for e.g. caffeine,sugar and cocaine),they confessed the mistake in their recipe..the overdose of sugar.

Coca Cola's new ad is showing us the stint of sugar in their swill. Stuart Kronaug (form the Coca Cola company)  launched the ad and said that there are conversations about obesity among people,and he said that the company wants to be the part of this conversation.

It is known that sweetened drinks are the main sources of calories,and the two thirds of Americans are overweight,and this ad has surely shocked them,which helped them finding out that there is too much sugar in Coca Cola. In the advert the Coke said :  "if you eat and drink more calories than you burn off, you'll gain weight" .

Nowadays researches shows that eating or drinking too much sugar or sugar containing drink or food is more liable to make you fat than consuming fat. The rise in the 21st century of diabetes,heart problems and cancer can be linked to the increase of consumption of sugar.

The advert was the first step in this defensive war,another was the Cola's gift to the Worldwide Fund for Nature,a small adoption of 4 million dollars. The attack against the Coca Cola is coming that will make it like tobacco. New York has already legalized this idea,and France is also planning to put tax on mini sodas.

British government don't like the idea of curbing Coca Cola,and Big Food corporations. A "traffic light" will be introduced on labels of food.. Green,yellow or red, which shows how healthy that food is, there are no informations yet about doing the same to drinks.

Robert Lustig,professor of paediatrics wants to lead in a punitive tax to curb the damage against added sugar. "It [sugar] meets all the criteria for societal intervention that alcohol and tobacco meet," he said a year before.

Professor and scientists working with him wrote in magazine Nature:
 "Take, for instance bans on smoking in public places and the use of designated drivers, not to mention airbags in cars and condom dispensers in public bathrooms. These simple measures- which have all been on the battleground of American politics - are now taken for granted as essential tools for our public health and well-being. It's time to turn our attention to sugar."

Personal Highlights of 2012

There was so many exciting days in 2012. My first day wasn't so good in this year. I drank so much and it didn't end well. The most memorable time was summer. We were making parties with my girls,drinking,hanging out. The most visited place was of course the river Tisa. With wavering water,cooling us down on a burning sunny day. You don't know how it's good,if you don't try. At the middle of the summer I went to Germany,where my dad is working now. The little town where I lived was called Königstein,a pleasant,clean place. We went to a stream near our house,which was so cold and was full of big fishes. When we visited our relatives, I have spoken English with my aunt's husband, and I understood everything what he told about German motorcycle riders. On the second day we went to Frankfurt for shopping. I saw so many interesting peoples and black peoples,who are my favorites. At the end of my journey in Germany I was sad because I had to come home,but I was also missing my mum at home. When I came home I met my present boyfriend,which is also a memorable moment for me.After we went almost everyday together to Tisa,and I enjoyed the remainder summer days.Christmas was also so fine this year,because I saw my father after half a year. I was with my family for Christmas time,and after with my boyfriend,like for the New Year's Eve. My new year has got started better than my last year and I hope that it will be like this first day every day.

My Ideal NYE Celebration

Fireworks,champagne,confetti. Is it the best way to celebrate the New Year? Could it be more excisting? I think it could. I would like to celebrate once the new year on a sunny beach with cocktails in bikini,at the seaside. The weather is hot,you can watch fireworks without coat on you. Even you can go swimming and to watch it in the sea with your husband or boyfriend with a bottle of champagne. Doesn't it sounds good? The only thing which I'd miss is the snow,but the freezy weather no way.

This year UEFA (the 14^th European Football Championship) was held in Polan and Ukraine,and this year’s winner was Spain,who has got the prize,the 23 million euro.

Olympic games in London(motto:Inspire a Generation)

It was the 3^rd time for London to host the Olympics. The main focus was a new Olympic Park.  204 nations were attending, with 10 820 athletes on 302 events,in 26 sports. Financing the games costed $14.46 billion. The USA has got 104 medals ,the second China 88 medals and Great Britain 65.

Curiosity explores the Red Planet

Nasa has successfully landed Curiosity, a  rover big as a car on Mars. This landing costed about 2.5 billion dollars,and the journey to the Mars lasted eight months.It was Nasa’s sevent landing on this planet,but it was the most exiting and expensive one.This mission’s goal was to find out the climate,the geology,if there is life on Mars,and to prepare for human exploitations.

The last cycle of the Mayan calendar

Better known as the end of the world. Much people belived that the end is coming because mayan people were smart in architecture, mathematical and astronomical systems,and they wrote a calendar which ended on 21^st December in 2012. This event of course passed without any incidents,and there is no end YET.

Short summary:

Martin Karow techno dj and producer went on a tour in techno clubs with his girlfriend Mathilde,while he was also working on his new studio album. His nickname was Ickarus. He had to use kinds of drugs,if he wanted to work all day and night,which he had bought from one of his friend,Erbse in clubs in Berlin. After he took a PMA-containing ecstasy tablet, he has found his self after in a Berlin hotel naked, and he was taken to a psychiatric hospital in Berlin, which was a bad news for his upcoming album and for his live performances. The clinics head doctor, Dr. Paul has recommended him to stay away from music for a time, and to take a brake for his recover. Ickarius agrees to stay at the hospital,but he continues works with his new album. After he left the hospital his drug using is beginning to get worse,when he met Erbse to buy some drugs. The head of the record label Vinyl Distortion, Alice told Mathilde that the release of Ickarius’s new album is delayed,he gets angry and destroys Alice’s office,when she didn’t want to speak with him. Mathilde left Ickarius, and went in an apartment with her lesbian co-worker Corinna,and when Ickarius wanted to visit Mathilde,after he got a big tax bill ,she refused to see him. Dr.Paul also told Ickarius to leave the clinic because he hadn’t followed his therapy. He decided to make a “good bye” party in the clinic. Everything was alright till he hadn’t brought drugs and alcohol and prostitutes. After this Dr.Paul locked Ickarius in a room. At the end Dr.Paul was having an argue with Mathilde and Ickarius’s father, and after all he relented him. When he was done with his album he wanted to call it “Tits, Techno, and Trumpets”, but at the end the record company prefered a better title, “Berlin calling”.
